#14 - STUDENT WORK - CASA LOMA REFLECTIONS

Last week I had the pleasure of joining three classes on a field trip to Casa Loma. Lisa's class wrote some nice snapshot reflections about their experiences and had this to say:

Jorge - Casa Loma was built in 1911 by Sir. Henry Pellat. The building resembles a castle because it has a lot of rooms. It also has beautiful gardens and a great view of the city. If you are interested in war medals, flower gardens, or just want to have a magnificent view of Toronto, you can find it at Casa Loma.

Svetlana - Sir Henry Pellat's bedroom is the most interesting room in Casa Loma in my opinion. I like old photos and there are a lot of old photos in this room. Sir. Henry's bed is small. It is interesting because at that time people were smaller. Also, there is a nice view from the room. I could see the whole city.

Manuel - My favourite room in Casa Loma is the library because it has many books. Imagine you could read so many books about history. For a reader this would be paradise! Imagine you could read the diary of Sir. Henry Pellat. It would be something wonderful!

Ruben - Casa Loma is a really big house. It is beautiful now but I think it will be more popular in 100 years. I like the conservatory best because it has so many attractive plants.

Salvador - The room in Casa Loma I like best is the library. It has many books about many different things. The floor is incredible! It is made of oak and when you look at the floor it seems to have stripes of two different colours. When you look at it another way you can see that the floor is only one colour!

Vicente - Casa Loma is like a castle. I was impressed wehn I saw the view of the city and the number of bedrooms in the house. I really liked Sir Henry's bathroom the best.

Inigo - Casa Loma is a spectacular building. It was built in 1911 and it has more than 20 rooms. One of the most beautiful rooms is the library. It is very big. I also liked the garden.
